Apple explains the Safari 27 domain blocks: identity resolution infrastructure is the target
Apple's WebKit team has published the rationale for the Safari 27 network blocks that Weeks 40 and 42 covered: WebKit blocks "identity resolution infrastructure" at the domain level, across iOS, iPadOS, macOS and visionOS 27, aimed at third parties that collect email addresses at login or newsletter sign-up and turn them into cross-site tracking IDs. First-party personalisation is "not tracking", but a central resolver remains a third party even for one company's graph. AdExchanger reports The Trade Desk created TTDCDN.org as a backup domain. Email-based identity partners may keep dropping off Safari traffic, so ask each vendor for its Safari 27 match rates.
