What changed

One campaign across several formats

Amazon has opened Full-Funnel Campaigns in beta for US advertisers selling on Amazon. The campaign combines sponsored ads, display, video and streaming TV within one campaign and budget. Advertisers provide products, a budget and an optional return-on-ad-spend threshold, then review the generated creative. The campaign can run alongside existing activity.

Open beta describes the availability stage, not an expected result or assurance that every US seller meets all entry conditions. Amazon reports stronger long-term ROAS from an internal June-to-August beta comparison. That is a vendor finding, not a forecast for a new account, and the available information does not provide the methodology needed to generalise it.

Design a bounded comparison

Give the beta a defined role alongside current activity. Record the products included, capped budget, optional ROAS threshold, creative approvals and existing campaigns that may overlap in products or audiences. Without that map, combined-format delivery may make incremental effects difficult to interpret.

A useful test should align measurement settings and comparison periods before launch. Examine results against relevant established activity, while noting differences in product mix and media coverage. Running alongside existing campaigns can be operationally convenient, but it also creates overlap that prevents a simple before-and-after reading.

Generated creative remains subject to ordinary accuracy, brand and product-claim review. The decision to continue should rest on the team’s defined outcome, delivery quality and reconciled data, not on Amazon’s aggregate beta statement. A controlled budget limits the consequence of unresolved interaction with existing campaigns.

THE COLLECTIVE PERSPECTIVE

Why it matters for advertisers

Full-Funnel Campaigns package multiple Amazon media formats into one setup. That simplification makes overlap, creative review and measurement design more important to a meaningful evaluation.

What to check next

  • Set a capped test budget, product list and explicit role alongside existing campaigns.
  • Review every generated creative for brand accuracy, product claims and format suitability before launch.
  • Reconcile results with overlapping activity using aligned periods, definitions and measurement settings.
