Claude Code gains auto mode for autonomous permission handling
Anthropic has launched auto mode in Claude Code, available as a research preview on the Team plan, with Enterprise and API access rolling out over the following days. Auto mode allows Claude Code to handle file writes and bash command permissions autonomously, without requiring approval for each action or disabling safeguards entirely.

This video plays in the original LinkedIn newsletter.
What changed
Before each tool call, a built-in classifier reviews the action for potentially destructive behaviour; safe actions proceed automatically, while risky ones are blocked. Anthropic recommends using auto mode in isolated environments.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means complex, multi-step automation tasks in Claude Code can now run with fewer interruptions: a meaningful efficiency improvement for long-running data pipelines, reporting workflows, and build processes where human approvals create bottlenecks.
