Display & Video 360 · Status at source date: Operational reminder
DV360 requires a business name and logo for new YouTube line items
Google’s Display & Video 360 announcement makes a business name and logo mandatory for new YouTube & partners line items from 12 October 2026. The help page was last updated on 1 October. The date shown for this update is therefore the effective date, rather than a newly discovered announcement date.

What changed
The notice says new YouTube & partners line items cannot be created without the required business name and logo after the change. Advertisers can set both at advertiser level so they are inherited by YouTube & partners and Demand Gen line items. The announcement is about required identity assets in setup; it does not say every existing campaign will stop serving on the effective date.
For a team building seasonal campaigns, the practical consequence is a possible setup interruption if the required assets have not been approved and supplied. PMC recommends checking the advertiser-level defaults before the next trafficking session. Confirm that the displayed business name and logo represent the brand intended for the campaign, particularly where an agency manages several related entities.
Central defaults can save repeated setup work, but they also make ownership important. Establish who can change the identity assets and how that change is reviewed. A trading name, legal entity and product brand may differ, so the trafficking team should not choose between them without the appropriate brand owner’s input.
Use the current linked setup documentation for asset specifications and policy requirements. This short announcement alone is not a complete creative specification. Once assets are configured, inspect the resulting line-item settings and available previews instead of assuming inheritance produced the intended result.
Keep a record of the approved asset version and the advertiser accounts where it was applied. For agencies with repeat campaign builds, adding this check to the trafficking handover can prevent a last-minute dependency from becoming a launch delay. The change is an operational requirement for new line-item creation, not evidence of a new performance benefit or a mandatory rebuild of every existing campaign.
