OpenAI launches ChatGPT Skills in Excel with finance workflow templates
OpenAI has released ChatGPT Skills and Apps in Excel in beta. Two default skills are available at launch: a Corporate Finance / FP&A Spreadsheet Skill for budgets, forecasts, and KPI packs; and a Financial Modelling Skill for three-statement models, DCFs, LBOs, and comparables.

What changed
ChatGPT for Excel can write formulas directly when formulas are the appropriate output, and adding citations allows users to trace inputs back to their source. Skills provide repeatable instructions for how work should be done; apps bring in trusted data from connected sources.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means finance and reporting teams building paid media budget trackers, forecast models, or client-facing dashboards in Excel now have a directly integrated AI layer: worth piloting for any recurring financial reporting workflow that currently involves manual formula construction.
