Amazon DSP adds Belgium, Poland, Singapore, Egypt and South Africa

Written by Paid Media Collective
IN BRIEF

Amazon’s 25 September announcement opens local DSP campaign creation in five additional markets. Self-service advertisers and agencies can buy display, video and audio across Amazon properties and the open internet.

What changed

Assess the available audiences, supply and measurement in each market before transferring a plan from another country; local availability does not make the inventory mix identical.

Build a separate readiness note for each proposed country, covering advertiser access, available supply and outcome measurement. Review local creative and destinations before transferring an existing campaign. Avoid applying another market’s reach, costs or attributed return as though the expansion announcement established comparable conditions.

The five named additions are Belgium, Poland, Singapore, Egypt and South Africa. The fact that they appear in the same announcement does not establish identical inventory, audience scale, pricing or operational requirements. A global media team should preserve those distinctions when deciding which local buying capability is relevant to a brand’s actual distribution and customer base.

For a proposed market test, define the role of the campaign before choosing the reporting metric. A reach objective, a retail conversion objective and a broader demand-building objective need different evidence. Confirm the applicable data and attribution definitions with the buying partners, and keep market-specific assumptions visible in the plan. If the necessary measurement is unavailable, record that limitation before committing spend rather than comparing a partial report with another market’s complete conversion data.

THE COLLECTIVE PERSPECTIVE

Why it matters for advertisers

Local DSP availability can make a market easier to plan and buy, but country access is only the beginning of an investment decision. Inventory, supported audiences and measurement need to be checked at the same market scope.
