Audience & score
Public snapshotA snapshot of audience size and visible engagement, not a quality rating.
Where the figures come from
Checked on the official newsletter page. Counts can change.
Newsletter-specific count from the official LinkedIn series header: 3,776, not Ivan Marynych’s profile followers. The newest issue footer showed 4,081; the series header is used consistently for this snapshot. The series has 124 editions. Only the newest issue has an exact checked date and article-level engagement; three complete recent snapshots are unavailable, so score remains unavailable.
How the newsletter score works
An audience and engagement snapshot, not a quality rating. Version 1 combines up to 25 points for subscriber reach and 75 for visible edition engagement.
Reach = 25 × min(1, log₁₀(1 + subscribers) ÷ log₁₀(100,001)). Engagement = 75 × min(1, median((reactions + comments) ÷ subscribers) ÷ 1%). Add the components and round once. Reach is capped at 100,000 subscribers; median engagement is capped at 1%.
We use the three newest observed editions, all published within 90 days, and a snapshot no more than 30 days old. Missing or approximate counts, or missing exact dates, prevent a score. An edition under seven days old marks the score as an early snapshot. A viral edition alone cannot determine the median.
LinkedIn reactions include likes and other reactions. Comments can include replies; these are not unique readers, email opens or click rates. The denominator is the subscriber count when checked, not at publication. Age, cadence and platform differences limit comparisons. Private email metrics are not inferred.
Example: 10,000 subscribers and three editions with 40, 50 and 500 total reactions plus comments give a median of 0.5%: 20 reach points + 37.5 engagement points = 58 / 100. Choose alphabetical, score or subscriber order. These scores add no contributor leaderboard points.
