Written by Paid Media Collective
IN BRIEF

Amazon has announced a 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge applied to FBA fulfilment fees, effective April 17, 2026, with MCF and Buy with Prime following on May 2. The surcharge is calculated on the fulfilment fee, not the product price, averaging approximately $0.17 per unit for standard US FBA.

What changed

This stacks on top of the January 2026 FBA fee increase, which raised standard-size fees by an average of $0.08 per unit. Vanessa Hung notes the cumulative impact means some ASINs that were profitable in Q4 2025 are now structurally unprofitable. Amazon has updated the Revenue Calculator and Profit Analytics to reflect the surcharge.
