Amazon ends commingled FBA inventory for brand owners on March 31
Amazon will end commingled FBA inventory for Brand Registry owners on March 31, 2026. Brand owners with valid GTINs will be able to use manufacturer barcodes (UPC, EAN) without their stock being pooled with other sellers' inventory: eliminating the risk of counterfeit or expired units appearing in fulfilment and reviews.

What changed
Resellers, including authorised ones, must apply Amazon barcode stickers (FNSKU) to every unit sent after March 31; inventory dispatched without stickers will be flagged as defective and is ineligible for reimbursement. Existing inventory already inside fulfilment centres is grandfathered. Amazon is waiving low-inventory-level fees during the transition.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means brand owners can retire FNSKU sticker requirements for new shipments after March 31, reducing per-unit costs: but resellers must act immediately to ensure all incoming inventory is correctly labelled before the deadline.
