Claude Code Routines launch in research preview
Anthropic has launched Routines in Claude Code in research preview across all paid plans. Routines allow a prompt, repository, and connectors to be configured once and run on a schedule, triggered by an API call, or fired by a GitHub webhook.

What changed
They run on Anthropic's web infrastructure: no local machine required. Each API routine has its own endpoint for direct integration with alerts and deploy hooks. Webhook routines respond per pull request.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means repetitive data pipeline tasks, scheduled reporting runs, and PR-triggered code review workflows in Claude Code can now run continuously in the background: directly relevant for measurement and automation infrastructure that currently requires maintaining always-on local processes.
