Google NewFront 2026: DV360 goes Gemini-powered with new CTV inventory, identity, and agentic tools
Google used NewFront 2026 at Pier 57 on March 23 to reposition Display & Video 360 as a Gemini-powered end-to-end media buying platform: the "Gemini Advantage": framing it as the only ad tech stack where the same AI model that powers the products also owns the inventory.

What changed
The inventory announcements were substantial.
DV360 now carries YouTube, Disney, and Netflix in a single programmatic buy: the first time Netflix inventory has been available in DV360. A formal live sports biddable suite combines NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube, ESPN and Fubo via Disney (500 live out-of-market games), UFC via Paramount, and extended NBC Universal rights.
Previously available only in Google Ads, YouTube Masthead, and Pause Ads, these are now programmatically available in DV360, with full GMP frequency controls and measurement. DV360 claims to now reach 96% of ad-supported US connected TV households.
On measurement, Google announced Confidential Publisher Match: described as "the new generation of Google's identity model": which combines advertiser first-party data, third-party data already in GMP, and CTV publisher signals to enable cross-device attribution from a streaming impression all the way to a final purchase, with no additional setup or fees. Roku is the launch partner; more publishers are expected.
On the agentic layer, Ads Advisor is now live for all GMP users. New capabilities include Campaign Builder (upload a media plan and the agent sets goals, targeting, and produces a draft campaign), real-time creative rejection diagnosis, and a generative chart builder that creates custom dashboards from natural language prompts on demand.
The Commerce Media Suite, which now has over 30 retail partners, announced the integration of Kroger Precision Marketing with DV360: brands can activate Kroger shopper audiences on YouTube with SKU-level conversion reporting powered by LiveRamp and MetaRouter. Global expansion brings commerce audiences from Blinkit, PChome, Shopee, and Swiggy to Google Ads for eligible brands.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means the case for managing YouTube, premium CTV, and retail media audiences from a single platform is stronger than ever: but the Confidential Publisher Match and Kroger SKU-level reporting are the two announcements with the most immediate measurement implications for brands running cross-channel campaigns.
