Meta Account launches as the new central login for Facebook, Instagram, and devices
Meta has introduced an updated Meta Account: building on Accounts Centre: as the centralised way to sign into and manage Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Threads, Meta AI, AI glasses, and Meta Quest. The rollout is gradual over the next year.

What changed
Apps and devices already in Accounts Centre will be auto-migrated. Day-to-day app experiences are unchanged. WhatsApp remains optional and can be added or kept separate.
Meta Account introduces passkey support across Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger, 24/7 threat protection against suspicious activity, a streamlined Security Checkup, and a single password option across apps and devices. App-specific settings: Facebook post visibility, Instagram tagging: remain managed within each app. Family Centre now consolidates supervision for teen accounts across Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, and Meta Horizon.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means agencies and advertisers operating Business Manager and Ads Manager across multiple Meta surfaces will see a more unified login and security layer. Particularly relevant for teams managing teen-targeted campaigns, where supervision controls now flow through the consolidated Family Centre.
