Meta launches Muse Spark, the first model from Meta Superintelligence Labs
Meta has launched Muse Spark, the first model from Meta Superintelligence Labs led by Alexandr Wang. Muse Spark is a natively multimodal reasoning model with visual chain of thought, tool use, and multi-agent orchestration, built from a ground-up rebuild of Meta's AI infrastructure over nine months.

What changed
It is small and fast by design rather than frontier-scale. Muse Spark now powers Meta AI on meta.ai and in the Meta AI app. Rollout to Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Meta's AI glasses is planned for the coming weeks. The model is proprietary: a departure from Meta's open-source Llama approach.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means Meta AI has materially improved its reasoning and multimodal capabilities, which will enhance Meta's AI-driven shopping mode, health queries, and location-based recommendations: all with direct advertising implications as Meta deepens its integration of Meta AI across its platforms.
