What changed

Creative generation enters the conversation

Amazon’s generative creative tools now sit inside the Ads Agent conversational experience, producing display ads and video from existing product assets. This builds on an agentic creative tool launched in Creative Studio in September 2025. The stated change concerns the location and form of the workflow rather than the first appearance of Amazon’s agentic creative tooling.

The conversational experience remains in closed beta. Existing product assets or access to other Amazon advertising tools do not establish eligibility for this workflow, and the announcement should not be presented as general availability.

Preserve review between generation and activation

Retain brand, product and claims review after generation and before activation. Check that the depicted product matches the source asset, visual additions are appropriate, on-screen language is accurate and the output remains suitable for each intended format. Preserve the input asset and approved output to support traceability.

Amazon claims up to 71% more product coverage and up to 15% sales growth, but the available information provides no methodology. These are vendor performance claims, not forecasts. The upper-bound framing does not indicate typical results, and the two measures should not be assumed to follow from every generated variation.

A useful evaluation would compare generated work with a defined baseline under the same approval rules. Record production time, rejection reasons, placement readiness and campaign outcomes separately. Faster production may be valuable even when performance does not change, while a performance movement cannot be attributed to generation without an appropriate comparison.

THE COLLECTIVE PERSPECTIVE

Why it matters for advertisers

Conversational generation may accelerate creative variation, but closed-beta access and quality assurance remain decisive. Production efficiency and advertising performance are separate questions to test.

What to check next

  • Confirm Ads Agent conversational closed-beta access before designing an operational dependency.
  • Review product depiction, branding, wording and claims in every generated asset before activation.
  • Compare generated creative with a defined baseline using the same approvals and aligned measurement.
