Reddit reports ad growth and plans an international login test
Reddit's Q3 coverage reports advertising revenue of $847 million, up 54%, alongside weaker search-referral traffic. Management discussed testing login requirements in selected markets outside the US. The coverage also describes Reddit Max's broader availability and lead-generation objective.

What changed
Keep the planned login experiment separate from current campaign access. Reduced reach or better targeting are possible questions to investigate, not established outcomes of a test that has not been assessed here.
The revenue result, referral-traffic discussion and proposed login test concern different parts of Reddit's business. Advertising growth does not prove that organic search traffic is growing, and a decline in referrals does not by itself establish a decline in the value of every advertising audience. Keep the measures and their time periods distinct.
The login experiment is described as planned for selected markets outside the US. It should not be presented as a global requirement already imposed on all visitors. Any effect on reach, identity signals or engagement would need to be assessed after the relevant implementation, using evidence from the markets and users actually affected.
For advertisers, check the campaign products currently available and the audience reporting they provide. The discussion of Reddit Max and lead generation is product context, while the earnings figures describe the wider company. A management explanation of strategy does not establish the eligibility of a particular account for every capability mentioned.
A useful campaign review compares delivered reach, traffic quality and downstream outcomes over comparable periods. If a login change occurs in a target market, annotate it and investigate whether the observed audience or conversion mix changes. Do not assume that requiring login automatically improves targeting or that a smaller audience necessarily performs worse.
