Amazon packages its Alexa for Shopping engine for rival retailers
Amazon has begun selling its conversational shopping assistant technology to retailers it competes with, as Roger Dunn has flagged. The announcement is the AWS Agentic Shopping Assistant (ASA), built by the AWS Generative AI Innovation Centre, which packages the architecture, starter code, and lessons learned from Amazon's own Alexa for Shopping: recently rebranded from Rufus: for external retailers.
