Claude Platform becomes available through an Anthropic-managed Google Cloud service
Anthropic announced general availability of Claude Models on Google Cloud, Anthropic managed, on 22 October. The offering provides Claude Platform features using Google Cloud authentication, billing and commitment retirement.

What changed
It is distinct from the existing Google-managed offering. Anthropic operates the new service and acts as its data processor; the announcement says the Google-managed route remains available for customers with different data-processing and regional requirements. The new route initially lists US and Global endpoints.
The operational significance is access to Claude's platform capabilities through an existing cloud relationship. Teams building internal marketing analysis or automation can assess that route without confusing it with a new advertising product or a guarantee of better campaign outcomes.
The two management models should be compared on the requirements of the actual workload. For example, a reporting workflow may need a particular processing arrangement, while an experimental agent may need a specific API feature. Those requirements should determine the evaluation rather than the fact that both routes share Google Cloud branding.
Before switching, document permissions, data residency needs, spending responsibility and the capabilities the workflow uses. Existing commercial discounts also require checking. This is a neutral availability update, not a recommendation to replace a team's current provider.
For a team comparing deployment routes, the useful question is which organisation operates each part of the service and where usage is authenticated and billed. Document those responsibilities alongside the model and regional requirements before moving an existing application. Availability of an Anthropic-managed route does not by itself prove that its permissions, quotas or operational behaviour match a Google-managed deployment. Test the intended workflow and review the applicable service terms in the organisation's account.
