Gemini Notebook adds review steps before generating slides and videos
Google announced additional co-creation controls for Gemini Notebook on 19 October. The update lets users shape slide decks and video overviews before the final output is generated, with an optional review step for outline notes or producer notes. Google describes a global rollout over the following week.

What changed
The announcement is signed by Viraj Doshi and Shan Wang. Users can begin in chat, confirm suggested topics and guide the style and format. With Review enabled, they can inspect the plan in the studio panel, give feedback and then proceed to generation. The quicker generation route remains available for users who choose to skip that review.
For a marketing team, the relevant change is where editorial intervention happens. An outline can be checked before time is spent producing a complete deck or video. That is useful for campaign recaps, research summaries and internal explanations, but the announcement does not establish that generated claims or figures are automatically correct.
PMC's suggested workflow is to agree the purpose and audience first, supply the appropriate source material, and review the sequence before producing the finished artifact. For a paid-media report, the outline should distinguish observed results, interpretation and proposed action. Those categories can become blurred when a polished presentation compresses several sources into one narrative.
The final output still needs a human check against the underlying evidence. Verify numbers, dates, source references and any statements about causation, and confirm that client information is suitable for the destination where the artifact will be shared. A pre-generation review step can reduce structural rework; it does not remove responsibility for the finished material.
This is a neutral report of the announced capability, not a recommendation to adopt a vendor. Availability may differ during the stated rollout window. The accompanying image comes from Google's announcement and illustrates the review interface. Teams assessing the change should focus on whether reviewing the plan earlier makes their existing approval process clearer, rather than treating faster generation as a quality measure in itself.
