Meta begins auto-syncing missing website products into advertiser catalogues
Bram Van der Hallen has flagged an important update for Meta advertisers running catalogue ads. Meta will now automatically begin adding products detected on advertiser websites that are not currently in the catalogue, syncing them into the live feed without manual approval.

What changed
Meta frames the change as a way to drive sales and optimise ad performance.
The opt-out is available in Commerce Manager → Overview, where advertisers can either click an "Opt out" button or edit the listed products before they are synced. Without action, products that may be irrelevant: discontinued lines, regional variants, internal SKUs scraped from the site: could begin appearing in ads.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means an immediate review of the Commerce Manager is warranted for any account running Advantage+ Catalogue or Advantage+ Shopping. Particularly relevant for advertisers with multi-region sites, gated B2B catalogues, or product pages that are crawled but not intended for retail surfacing.
