Meta releases updated official Pixel template for GTM with GA4 dataLayer support
Bram Van der Hallen has flagged that Meta has published an updated version of its official GTM Pixel template: the new version adds native support for the GA4 dataLayer, mapping ecommerce events (Purchase, AddToCart, ViewContent, InitiateCheckout) automatically without duplicate tagging. The update is available as a template update notification in GTM.

Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means accepting the template update for any account running both Google Ads and Meta Ads: the GA4 dataLayer integration removes a common source of manual maintenance and reduces event-level discrepancies between platforms.
