Microsoft Advertising campaign names extended to 400 characters
Microsoft Advertising now supports campaign names up to 400 characters, up from the previous 128-character limit. The increase applies across the UI, API, Editor, imports, and reporting, and brings Microsoft to parity with Meta and Google.

What changed
The change is directly relevant to agencies and advertisers who embed structured metadata: geography, product category, channel, strategy: into campaign names to drive automated reporting.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means campaign naming conventions that previously required abbreviation or external mapping can now be expressed fully within the platform: worth updating naming templates and reporting automations to take advantage.
