Shopify ships native A/B testing and controlled rollouts inside the admin
Shopify has launched Rollouts, a native server-side-controlled deployment feature in the Shopify admin under the new Markets section. Merchants can now schedule storefront changes, release updates to a percentage of visitors, analyse performance, and decide when to push to 100%: without third-party testing tools or custom infrastructure.

This video plays in the original LinkedIn newsletter.
What changed
The feature gives merchants engineering-grade deployment controls that were previously the domain of product teams at technology companies. Martijn Wijsmuller notes the tooling barrier is now gone; the remaining challenge is whether teams will build the discipline to define experiments rigorously and act on data rather than conviction.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means ecommerce brands on Shopify can now run controlled landing pages, product pages, and checkout experiments natively: a meaningful shift for any advertiser whose paid media performance is partially constrained by conversion rate rather than media efficiency.
