Amazon Ads · Status at source date: Operational reminder
Amazon DSP agreement changes took effect on 12 October
Amazon’s public DSP change notice gives 12 October 2026 as the effective date for revisions to its agreement. The notice highlights the incorporation of Amazon Ads Data Privacy Terms, changes to the contracting-entity framework and clarification that an Amazon affiliate may issue invoices. It also says the summary is not an exhaustive list of the changes.

What changed
This is an operational update for organisations using Amazon DSP. The effective date is supported by the notice; its original publication date is not established. It should not be described as a new advertising format or confused with the separate Amazon Ads Agent product announcements.
PMC’s practical recommendation is to route the notice to the people who maintain the organisation’s advertising contracts and account records. Campaign managers can help by identifying the account, business address and internal owner, rather than trying to interpret contractual obligations from a short news summary. An agency should distinguish its own account arrangements from those of a client that contracts directly.
The billing clarification is a reason to check administrative records, not a reason to assume that an unfamiliar invoice is genuine. Finance teams can compare any change with the account’s established billing information and normal verification process. Keep the commercial notice separate from routine campaign performance reporting so it reaches the relevant reviewer.
For teams maintaining a vendor register, preserve the notice URL, the effective date and a copy of the version reviewed. Record who assessed it and whether any internal follow-up was required. A dated record is more useful than silently replacing an older agreement reference, especially where several teams share responsibility for the platform.
No claim is made here that advertisers must change campaigns, that a new fee was introduced, or that a particular legal consequence applies to every account. The source is a summary of agreement changes. The next step is a review of the applicable full terms by the appropriate internal owner, with any resulting action kept distinct from media-buying decisions.
