Amazon changes review sharing rules across product variations starting February 2026
Amazon will stop automatically sharing reviews across all variations in a product family from February 12, 2026. Reviews will only be shared when differences are minor, such as colour, pack size, or scent variations.

What changed
Reviews will no longer pool across variations with different performance levels, generations, formulations, materials, or intended users. The rollout runs from February 12 to May 31, 2026, by category, with sellers notified 30 days before changes affect their catalogue.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means some listings may lose reviews and see star ratings drop, but customers will read feedback matching the exact product they're buying.
