What changed

The updated Google help article lists Cost and Conversions in the product table for eligible App campaigns. PPC News Feed attributes the documentation observation to Hana Kobzová. Access still depends on a linked Merchant Center retail feed and a campaign or ad-group view; the report is not an account-wide product dashboard.

The definitions matter when interpreting the extra columns. Google counts product clicks when someone interacts directly with a product element, excluding clicks on the title or install button. It also says every product in a served product ad receives an impression. These measures should not be assumed to match the broader campaign's click or impression totals. Average CPC and other conversion-based metrics remain unsupported in the documented view.

Our suggested analysis is to investigate product differences without immediately treating them as a complete profitability ranking. A product with low direct engagement may still appear in an ad that drives an install through another element. Before reallocating attention or changing a feed, check the interaction definition and the conversion action represented by the campaign. The new visibility offers a more detailed diagnostic layer, but it does not establish that every reported conversion represents a purchase of the displayed product.

THE COLLECTIVE PERSPECTIVE

Why it matters for advertisers

Feed changes also affect reporting continuity. Google's guide explains that removing or replacing the linked feed can remove access to its products in this view. Preserve a dated reference before such a change so an apparent disappearance is not misread as a collapse in demand. Keep product identity and reporting scope consistent when comparing results.

What to check next

  • Open an eligible App campaign or ad group and confirm the linked feed before searching for the Products tab.
  • Annotate product-level clicks, impressions, cost and conversions with their definitions when sharing results.
  • Retain the relevant historical report before replacing or removing a feed, then investigate performance patterns alongside campaign-level outcomes.

Attribution evidence and limitations

Read the complete Google product-reporting guide, including metric definitions and feed-history FAQs, and the PPC News Feed article. Did not repeat the secondary article’s stronger implication that every product conversion represents an app install.

Retained all existing original, newsletter and contributor links. Read linked-source authorship rather than assigning the platform announcement to a newsletter sharer. No unverified dates or profile URLs added.

Viewed app-campaigns-product-report-cost-conversions.png. It captures the help-page introduction and benefits, not the newly added metric rows. No personal signature; the new columns are confirmed by the full source body rather than this crop.

Google App product reports add cost and conversions.

Google’s App campaign product-reporting documentation now lists Cost and Conversions alongside impressions, clicks and click-through rate. The product view is available within eligible campaigns or ad groups linked to a Merchant Centre retail feed, while average CPC and other conversion-based metrics remain unsupported. For you, this means checking the product view for more detailed spending and outcome information, without expecting it to reconcile automatically with every campaign-level metric.
