What changed

Juozas Kaziukėnas documented a ChatGPT ad containing multiple products from a retailer’s feed. His example shows an L.L.Bean carousel below a conversation about travel organisers. The products use their catalogue images and details, making feed quality part of the visible advertising experience. The screenshot demonstrates the format, not the sales performance of the retailer or the availability of the same format in every account.

For a merchant, the first review should concern the product information that could become the ad. Check that titles distinguish similar variants, images represent the right item and the destination matches what the customer clicked. If several near-identical products appear together, the user needs enough information to understand the difference. A larger ad unit does not automatically make that choice easier.

Juozas also discusses the possibility of products from different retailers appearing together in future. That is his expectation, rather than a feature established by this screenshot. Keep observed functionality separate from predictions when planning a test. The confirmed example supports investigating a feed-led carousel; it does not justify designing a campaign around an unverified future comparison format.

THE COLLECTIVE PERSPECTIVE

Why it matters for advertisers

Assess the carousel at product level as well as at ad level. A popular item can attract most of the clicks while other cards receive little attention, and the combined rate can obscure differences in purchase quality or stock availability. Begin with products whose offer and availability can be maintained reliably, then compare traffic and business outcomes with the existing advertising setup. Do not infer incremental sales from the appearance of a more prominent format.

What to check next

  • Confirm the format and product-feed requirements available to the account.
  • Review titles, images, variants, availability and matching product destinations.
  • Evaluate product-level outcomes and keep future format predictions separate from observed functionality.

Attribution evidence and limitations

Read Juozas Kaziukėnas’s full original post and visually inspected the L.L.Bean carousel screenshot. Separated the observed single-retailer carousel from his prediction about multi-retailer ads. Existing source-author identity and profile were retained; product photography and screenshot capture authorship are not established.

Original source links and verified profile links are retained. A missing profile remains unresolved rather than being inferred from a name match.

Viewed the full carousel screenshot. L.L.Bean is the advertiser and its products are pictured; this does not establish the individual photographer. The organic-answer source icons are separate from the sponsored unit and do not supply its authorship.

Product feed carousels go live

ChatGPT's product feed ads carousel unit is live, showing multiple products in a single large ad, with dynamic URL parameters and a broader release-notes package covering feed campaigns, conversion optimisation, and a pixel. For you, this means ecommerce ads in ChatGPT now mirror shopping formats you know, so prepare product feeds for the channel.
