Criteo reports lower Q3 revenue and plans wider Performance CTV access

Written by Paid Media Collective
IN BRIEF

Criteo reported third-quarter revenue of $416 million, down 11% year on year, and Contribution ex-TAC of $240 million, down 17%. Its 4 November results also set out a geographical expansion plan for Performance CTV beyond the United States.

What changed

Retail Media revenue and Contribution ex-TAC fell 23%. Criteo attributed a $20 million headwind to previously disclosed scope changes involving two retail clients, and said the business grew 10% when that effect was excluded. That adjusted comparison should remain distinct from the reported decline rather than replace it.

The Performance CTV plan names Brazil and Mexico for the end of 2026, followed in 2027 by Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Australia. These are planned expansion dates. They do not show that buyers in all nine additional markets can already activate campaigns.

Criteo also described broader access to ChatGPT advertising and lowered its full-year Contribution ex-TAC outlook to a decline of 10–12%. The results combine financial performance with product plans; neither a geographical roadmap nor a partnership reach figure is a campaign-performance guarantee.

For advertisers, the relevant follow-up is how an available buying product uses commerce data across different inventory. Confirm market access, inventory definitions and measurement before adding a new CTV market to a plan. A retailer’s onsite sales report and an offsite video outcome may have different attribution rules even when the same supplier provides both.

The financial figures come from Criteo’s own release. James Hercher’s AdExchanger analysis and Luis Rijo’s PPC Land report provide reporting context and the country-by-country expansion detail. The article preserves the distinction between company-reported results, management’s adjusted explanation and future availability. It does not infer that a decline at Criteo represents a decline across the entire retail-media market.
