Google Ad Manager API adds read-only OAuth scope
Google has added a read-only OAuth scope to the Ad Manager API (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/admanager.readonly), permitting data reading and report running without write access. The scope is designed for reporting dashboards and alerting tools.
This update uses a PMC cover because no suitable source image was available when checked on 8 Sept 2026. Available source and video links are retained.
What changed
It is not available in the legacy SOAP API. No action is required for existing integrations, though Google recommends migrating where write access is not needed.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means reporting integrations can now operate with appropriately scoped credentials, reducing the risk exposure of service account keys used in dashboards and scheduled exports.
