Google shares 2026 Ads & Commerce vision: AI Mode ads, Direct Offers, and UCP checkout

What changed
Direct Offers allow brands to share tailored promotions with shoppers ready to buy. UCP-powered checkout is rolling out now, letting US shoppers purchase from Etsy and Wayfair directly in AI Mode and the Gemini app, with Shopify, Target, and Walmart coming soon.
Veo 3 is now available in Google Ads Asset Studio for video generation. In Q4 2025, Gemini generated nearly 70 million creative assets across AI Max and Performance Max. AI Max is described as unlocking "billions of net-new searches" that advertisers weren't reaching before.
