Google Ads · Status at source date: Account observation
Shopping ads test product features alongside the offer
Sachin Patel spotted Shopping ads displaying key product features on a grey background alongside the product image, name, price and rating. His example came from a search for home ramps. The additional details could change which information shoppers see before clicking, but this is a layout observation, not a new advertiser-controlled format or a confirmed rollout.

What changed
What this means in practice
The screenshot is evidence of one rendered result. It does not show whether the layout was a controlled experiment, how Google selected the feature text, or which merchants could see the same presentation. There is no evidenced new switch for advertisers to enable in this report.
The potential impact is on pre-click comparison: a shopper may learn more about a product without opening the advertiser's page. That can change the information conveyed by the ad even if the underlying product offer and price are unchanged. It would be premature to predict a click-through or conversion lift from the appearance alone.
Merchants can use the observation to inspect whether their product information is accurate and consistent across the feed and landing page. If the layout appears for their own products, preserve the query, country, device, date and screenshot. Check the displayed features against the actual product. A repeatable account example and a documented format specification would answer different questions; this report currently supplies the former kind of evidence.
Keep the screenshot as evidence of the rendered layout. Product-feed accuracy remains worth checking regardless of whether the design persists. Do not rewrite offers or promise an extra feature field solely because a single result displayed one. A wider set of repeated observations would be needed to assess how consistently the treatment appears.
