Support form now requires a mandatory authorisation checkbox
Google Ads has updated its support request process to require an "Authorisation" checkbox before submission. The checkbox grants Google Ads specialists access to your account and the ability to make changes for troubleshooting purposes.

What changed
Submitting a form without ticking the box is no longer possible.
Arpan Banerjee notes the risk: by ticking the box, advertisers accept that Google can make changes to their accounts, with no performance guarantees and full responsibility for spend and results remaining with the advertiser. The requirement formalises what was previously often implied in support interactions, but makes the trade-off explicit. Advertisers should read the terms carefully and consider whether they want Google to access their accounts before submitting support requests.
