Affle agrees to acquire Perion for approximately $420 million

Written by Paid Media Collective
IN BRIEF

Affle agreed to acquire Perion for approximately $420 million in cash, with the transaction announced on 1 November and reported the following day. The agreement would bring Perion’s connected-TV, digital-out-of-home and retail-media businesses into Affle’s mobile advertising group.

What changed

The agreed price is $11.70 per share. The reporting describes a go-shop period through 11 December and an expected closing in early 2027, subject to the required shareholder and regulatory processes. An agreement is not a completed transfer of ownership, and the expected closing date remains conditional.

Perion’s portfolio includes Hivestack, Greenbids and the PRN retail-media business. In Allison Schiff’s interview with the companies’ executives, Perion CEO Tal Jacobson said he would remain in the role and described complementary capabilities across mobile performance advertising and Perion’s existing channels.

That explanation is management’s rationale for the transaction. It is not evidence that the combined products have already been integrated or that an advertiser’s existing agreement has changed. The interview also distinguishes outcome-based buying ambitions from a single pricing model applied to every medium.

For agencies with active Hivestack or PRN arrangements, the useful next step is to track the deal’s completion and any separately communicated changes to contracts, service contacts or product availability. Do not assume that a corporate announcement automatically changes the price or measurement of an existing campaign.

Schiff is credited for the original executive interview, with Luis Rijo’s reporting retained as additional context.
