Custom labels arrive in Demand Gen campaigns
Google has added support for custom labels in Demand Gen campaigns, flagged by Emmanuel Flossie. Custom labels: long available in Shopping for segmenting products by attributes such as margin, season, or bestseller status: can now be used to organise and report on Demand Gen, giving advertisers a familiar lever for structuring campaigns around product groupings.

What changed
Flossie raised the natural follow-on question of whether custom labels will next reach AI Max.
It is a practical extension of a Shopping feature into a newer campaign type, helping advertisers who manage by product attributes keep their segmentation consistent across formats.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means advertisers can apply the same custom-label segmentation logic to Demand Gen that they already use in Shopping. Worth mapping your existing custom-label strategy onto Demand Gen so reporting and bidding stay aligned across campaign types.
