Google Ads API v24 launches with Conversions with Cart Data and unified forecasting
Cory Liseno has announced that Google Ads API v24 is generally available. The headline addition is support for Conversions with Cart Data, which extends conversion tracking with product-level transaction details: unlocking advanced sales and profit reporting.
This update uses a PMC cover because no suitable source image was available when checked on 8 Sept 2026. Available source and video links are retained.
What changed
A new CartDataSalesView resource lets advertisers segment conversions not only by the product clicked, but also by the product sold (via segments such as product_sold_brand), and a new conversion_attribution_event_type segment differentiates click-through from view-through cart conversions.
Other notable changes: video content exclusion settings are now applied at the customer level rather than per campaign; forecasting infrastructure has been unified into a streamlined GenerateKeywordForecastMetrics method; and the is_brand_connect_creator field has been replaced with partnership_opportunities, which includes a CREATOR_PARTNERSHIPS option, reflecting the YouTube Creator Partnerships product. Client libraries and code examples for v24 are published; teams must upgrade to access the new functionality.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means accounts running attributed e-commerce reporting through the API will gain materially richer profit-level data: particularly relevant where bidding strategies could benefit from optimising on gross profit rather than revenue. The unification of forecasting infrastructure also simplifies long-term pipeline maintenance for measurement teams.
