Google Ads conversion tags push directly into Google Tag Manager
Govind Singh has flagged a small but consequential Google Ads update: conversion tags can now be pushed directly into Google Tag Manager from the Conversions setup screen. The new workflow: create the conversion action in Google Ads, choose "Use Google Tag Manager," click "Set up in Google Tag Manager", and the conversion tag arrives in GTM automatically with Conversion ID, Conversion Label, and tag type pre-filled.

What changed
Users only need to create the trigger and publish.
Previously, this required manually copying the Conversion ID and Label from Google Ads, then creating a new tag in GTM from scratch: error-prone, especially across multiple client accounts.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means GTM-using teams gain a cleaner, faster conversion-tag setup workflow. Particularly relevant for agencies managing multiple client tracking implementations, where the manual copy-paste flow has been a recurring source of setup errors.
