Google Ads Editor 2.10 support ends on 19 October
Google Ads Editor 2.10 and earlier lose support on 19 October 2026. Check installed versions and prepare local unposted changes before upgrading.

What changed
Teams still using Editor 2.10 or an earlier release should plan their upgrade before 19 October. After support ends, the affected versions cannot continue to be used to manage Google Ads accounts. The notice does not describe changes to bidding, targeting, reporting, campaign types, or account access; its confirmed consequence is the need to use the newest Editor version.
Google’s update guidance says Editor checks for updates when it starts and periodically while it is running, and it alerts users when an upgrade is available. Applying an update restarts the application. Some account data may need to be refreshed after upgrading, while local unpublished changes can be migrated after downloading. Users who defer the update can use the Update option in the lower-right area of the application. Releases that do not require an account re-download may install in the background and become available when Editor is next opened.
The deadline applies to the desktop editing application. The support notice does not announce a bidding or targeting change. Coverage appeared on 6 October; Google’s page explicitly confirms 19 October as the support deadline but does not identify when the documentation itself changed.
Why it matters for advertisers
For teams using Editor for bulk changes, this is a software-maintenance deadline to schedule before a campaign launch. Check every operator’s installed version: one updated workstation does not establish that a whole agency has moved to the latest release.
What to check next
- Check the Editor version on each workstation used for account changes.
- Review unposted local changes, schedule the upgrade before 19 October, and allow time for a restart or data refresh.
- After upgrading, verify the account and any migrated local changes before resuming bulk edits.
