Vehicle ads data quality checks coming to Merchant Centre in mid-April

Written by Paid Media Collective
IN BRIEF

Starting in mid-April 2026, Google Merchant Centre will begin surfacing data quality issues specific to Vehicle Ads within the account issues interface. The system will evaluate submitted vehicle data against corresponding landing page content and flag discrepancies across six dimensions: availability, visibility, condition, price, mileage, vehicle identification details (VIN, brand, model), and landing page URL validity.

What changed

Vehicles will be disapproved if the data source and landing page diverge on any of these dimensions. The account issues page will specify the type of mismatch alongside a resolution path. This represents a tightening of enforcement for automotive advertisers, who have historically tolerated feed-to-page discrepancies more than standard Shopping advertisers.

THE COLLECTIVE PERSPECTIVE

Why it matters for advertisers

For you, this means automotive advertisers should audit their vehicle landing pages against feed attributes before mid-April to avoid disapproval waves at rollout.
