ChatGPT Ads offers location groups such as "European Economic Area + Switzerland"
Thomas Eccel has shared an advertiser-account observation showing location groups in ChatGPT Ads. His source demonstration includes an EEA and Switzerland group containing 31 countries, providing a way to select a collection of locations together.

What changed
The important distinction is between a targeting control and market availability. A group containing 31 countries does not establish that ads have launched in 31 new markets, that every advertiser can serve in them, or that the same interface is available in every account.
The evidence supports the observed selection workflow. It does not settle eligibility, delivery restrictions or the broader rollout schedule. This article therefore treats the change as an account observation rather than an official global release.
What to check when using a location group
Inspect the members of the group before applying it. A convenient regional label can hide differences that matter to a campaign, including languages, fulfilment coverage and the markets for which the advertiser has suitable landing pages.
After selection, confirm the saved targeting in the campaign rather than assuming the group name fully describes the final configuration. Where location-level reporting is available, use it to check where delivery actually occurs and whether the resulting traffic matches the intended audience.
A group selection should not be taken as evidence that language, currency or creative settings have changed with it. Those need their own review. The source also gives no basis for promising lower costs or improved conversion performance from grouping locations.

He is credited for this account report, without asserting first-ever discovery. The original post’s absolute timestamp and the feature’s release date remain unresolved; the source was checked on 23 October 2026.
