Image: Thomas EccelDemand Gen accepts HTML5 ads, but serves them only on the Display Network
The HTML5 help page now says HTML5 ads can be connected to Demand Gen campaigns, where they serve exclusively on the Google Display Network and not on YouTube, Discover, Maps or Gmail. The upload eligibility rules are unchanged: an account older than 90 days with more than $9,000 lifetime spend and a good policy history, or an application with more than $1,000 spend under extra criteria. Rich-media creative can join Demand Gen without reaching its video surfaces, so weigh that against the extra production cost.
Image: Google Ads HelpChannel prioritisation and budget caps are live in accounts outside the US
Thomas Eccel reports the channel prioritisation and budget allocation controls from Week 42 showing in many accounts outside the US, at account level under settings and overridable per campaign for Performance Max, Shopping and Search, with Demand Gen to follow; PPC News Feed confirms the sighting. Google has not published a geographic rollout schedule. The cap on Search Partners or Display may already be available to you, so check Account settings before building workarounds.
