GA4 Data manager beta appears in Admin with a connection map

Written by Paid Media Collective
IN BRIEF

Davide Porelli shared a GA4 Admin interface with a Data manager beta section on 29 October. Further reports appeared during Week 45. The page brings data connections into one place and visualises sources and destinations around an Analytics property.

What changed

Google announced the Analytics integration in September. The October screenshot therefore records the interface appearing in an account, rather than the first announcement of Data Manager. Later sightings do not establish a single universal rollout day.

The current Analytics help page describes data streams, imports, product links and exports in the management surface. Its connection map places the property between incoming sources and outgoing destinations, with a Fix action for connections that need attention. Google says subproperties and roll-up properties are not yet supported.

The documentation also warns against setting up the same pipeline in both Analytics and Ads. For a team using both products, a clearer interface is not a reason to recreate every existing connection. First identify where the current pipeline is configured and what data it carries.

A practical review can use the map to inventory a property’s connections, then compare that inventory with the team’s tracking documentation. Check which Google Ads account is linked and what is exported before assuming that a visible line represents the intended business setup. A connection map does not establish that the underlying conversion definition or imported data is accurate.

Porelli receives First contributor credit for the earliest specific screenshot found in the reviewed sources. The date remains 29 October, with Week 45 explicitly treated as catch-up and additional observation. Google’s help page is the source for the supported behaviour and exclusions. The screenshot is interface evidence, not proof that the beta is present in every GA4 property.
