What changed

Additional labels appear in the picker

Vivek Gupta shared a Google Ads column-picker screenshot highlighting Locations of interest, Optimised targeting and Brand inclusions. The observation may help advertisers identify fields worth examining during an audit, but it supports only their visibility in the observed account interface.

Before using a field in reporting or analysis, inspect its definition and values in the relevant account. A familiar label may invite an interpretation broader than the interface supports. Establish what the field represents for the campaign concerned and document that meaning for anyone relying on the audit.

Visibility is not a delivery change

A column-picker label does not create targeting behaviour, introduce a brand control or alter campaign delivery. The screenshot therefore cannot prove a new targeting capability or broader product release. It also provides no basis for assuming that the fields resolve targeting questions automatically.

Official rollout timing remains unconfirmed. Verify whether the same options appear in the accounts under review before changing audit templates or stakeholder expectations. The 6 October 2026 observation date records when the supplied account evidence was shared, not a verified launch date.

Treat the fields as prompts for investigating configuration and reported values. This is recommended analytical practice rather than evidence about their effect on delivery.

THE COLLECTIVE PERSPECTIVE

Why it matters for advertisers

Reporting labels can shape audit conclusions even when they do not change campaigns. Verifying their account-specific meaning prevents interface visibility from being mistaken for a product or delivery change.

What to check next

  • Check whether the highlighted columns appear in the relevant account.
  • Read their in-account definitions before adding them to an audit.
  • Document what each value represents before drawing conclusions.
