Google Business Profile is gaining a native link to Google Analytics
Google has documented a native integration between Google Business Profile and Google Analytics, allowing local engagement metrics to appear alongside website data in GA4. Once linked, advertisers can track calls, bookings, direction requests, website clicks, and total interactions in one dashboard, with roughly six months of profile data available.

What changed
The limitations are significant for multi-location brands: data from multiple linked profiles is aggregated only, cannot be segmented or filtered by individual profile, and GBP metrics cannot be used in custom explorations or comparisons. Google is rolling the connection out in waves, so the linking toggle will appear in the GA4 admin gradually.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means local and multi-location advertisers can finally see Business Profile engagement alongside site behaviour without having to juggle UTM campaign URLs. Worth linking single-location accounts early, but treating the aggregated-only constraint as a real limit for brands managing many profiles.
