What changed

The second phase, targeting the Holiday Season, adds Bulgaria, Croatia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Estonia, and Latvia. Advertisers in these markets will need to connect product feeds to Google Merchant Centre and run Performance Max campaigns to serve Shopping placements. The expansion gives local retailers access to the visual, intent-driven format: displaying product images, prices, and brand names at the point of search: for the first time.

THE COLLECTIVE PERSPECTIVE

Why it matters for advertisers

For you, this means advertisers with pan-European catalogues should review their Merchant Centre feed coverage now to ensure these markets are included before the Back to School window opens.
