What changed
Merchant Centre for Agencies is a dedicated command centre for agencies managing multiple client Merchant Centre accounts: a single interface that surfaces account status, diagnostics, optimisation opportunities, and ad-growth surfaces across the full client portfolio.
The structural value sits in four named surfaces. The Agency overview page surfaces summary statistics across all accounts, top-starred accounts, and accounts with material changes in clicks or disapprovals. The Diagnostics page filters issues by client, country, and marketing method, and prioritises fixes by "click potential": Google's estimate of how many additional clicks would be unlocked by resolving each issue. The Client optimisation page consolidates promotion management, out-of-stock monitoring with a "Share report" feature for client restocking notifications, and store quality scores. The Ads opportunities page identifies "Low Traffic Products" that aren't receiving ad clicks and feeds them into Google Ads campaigns via custom labels: a structured workflow for surfacing growth opportunities buried in client feeds.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means agencies managing multiple Merchant Centre client accounts should request migration to the Merchant Centre for Agencies architecture as a 2026 housekeeping priority. New users request access through the agency account conversion form; existing US/Canada agency users already see the new view by default. Particularly relevant for agencies where managing 10+ client Merchant Centre accounts has been creating material operational overhead: the centralised diagnostics and "click potential" prioritisation directly address the biggest agency-side pain point.
