What changed

New video attribute: a video link attribute is being introduced in the Merchant Centre feed to enable scalable product video feeds at the listing level. New surfaces: product feeds will be shown across more viewing experiences, including YouTube Pause ads and tablet devices.

Google's data shows Demand Gen campaigns with large product selections see a +33% increase in conversions on average when adopting product feeds (Google data, Global, May to June 2025, based on performance data for campaigns active since Q1 2024 with over 50 products in merchant feed).

THE COLLECTIVE PERSPECTIVE

Why it matters for advertisers

For you, this means automotive dealers, e-commerce retailers with deep catalogues, and brands with product video assets should plan a Demand Gen product feed pilot for the second half of 2026. Particularly relevant for retailers where YouTube has been a brand-awareness channel rather than a shopping channel, the product feed expansion shifts that. Availability: Open Beta (rolling out in Q2, Global), US/CA/AU/UK, English.
