Three new Ads Advisor features: proactive policy troubleshooting, 24/7 security, instant certifications
Google has announced three additions to Ads Advisor, the AI agent in Google Ads, ahead of Google Marketing Live on 20 May. Proactive troubleshooting flags complex policy violations without prompting and walks advertisers through a fix path before submitting an appeal: initially covering unacceptable business practices, circumventing systems, and counterfeit goods.

This video plays in the original LinkedIn newsletter.
What changed
24/7 security monitoring introduces a personalised security insights dashboard that flags dormant users, unusual domains, and suggests passkey adoption. Instant certifications turn weeks of manual paperwork into in-platform approvals, with Ads Advisor proactively determining which certifications a business needs based on industry and country.
Real-Time Policy Reviews are also rolling out as part of the same workstream: providing instant in-workflow feedback during campaign creation, before policy issues block delivery. All capabilities will launch in the coming months. Ads Advisor remains available across all English-language Google Ads accounts globally, with more languages on the way.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means the policy and account-management overhead of running Google Ads is shifting from manual review work to AI-assisted triage. Worth verifying which of these features have rolled into your accounts and incorporating the security insights dashboard into a recurring monthly review cadence.
