A Voiceover video enhancement can switch itself on in PMax and Demand Gen
Thomas Eccel has flagged a new Voiceover video enhancement now live in Performance Max and Demand Gen. When a video has no voice track, Google's AI can select one of the advertiser's text assets, convert it into a voiceover, and automatically add it to a new version of the creative.

What changed
Google previews the result so it can be reviewed, removed, or deleted before it runs.
In PMax, the control sits at the campaign level under Asset Optimisation → Video, and in Demand Gen at the ad level in the Media card. The enhancement currently works only for English accounts and English assets, and the generated voiceover is built from existing headlines and descriptions, so weak asset copy produces weak audio.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means advertisers with brand or compliance constraints should check the enhancement setting rather than assume their videos run as supplied. Worth reviewing the preview on any account where an AI-generated voiceover could misstate a claim or clash with brand guidelines.
