Performance Max placements can now be excluded directly from "Where ads showed"
Google has rolled out direct inline exclusion for placements in the Performance Max "When and where ads showed" report. Aleksejus Podpruginas has flagged that advertisers can now filter and exclude irrelevant placements at scale directly from the report view, rather than navigating to the separate exclusion list interface.

What changed
The feature supports bulk exclusion, materially reducing the time required to clean up PMax delivery.
This sits within a broader sequence of PMax transparency upgrades over the past 18 months: channel performance reporting, expanded "where ads showed" data including Search Partners, audience and demographic visibility, and the budget pacing report. Account-level exclusion remains available via Tools → Content → Exclusions for advertisers who prefer the centralised list.
Why it matters for advertisers
For you, this means weekly PMax placement audits become a meaningfully faster operation. A 10-minute review at the start of each week can now flag and exclude underperforming or off-brand placements without leaving the report: particularly useful for accounts with high Display or Demand Gen spend allocation.
