Google Ads launches multi-campaign experiments [Beta]
Google's Campaign Mix Experiments let you test multiple campaign types, budgets, and settings in one experiment. You can create up to five experiment arms with any campaigns (Search, Performance Max, Shopping, Demand Gen, Video, and App), with campaigns appearing in multiple arms and traffic split.

What changed
Uses include testing account structure, campaign consolidation, cross-campaign budget optimisation, and feature comparison.
Reports include confidence intervals and key metrics like Conversion value, Conversions, ROAS, CPA, Clicks, Impressions, and CPC. Google recommends six to eight weeks of testing with minimal changes. To set up: Campaigns > Experiments > Custom experiment > Mixed campaign types. This helps answer questions like whether Search plus PMax outperforms Search plus Demand Gen.
