  • AI Max versus DSA: choose an experiment that fits the campaign

Google’s experiment guidance distinguishes campaign configurations. The template cannot be used for a campaign made entirely of Dynamic Search Ads; in a mixed campaign, the treatment leaves DSA ad groups unchanged. Decide what question the experiment can actually answer before starting it. A comparison that leaves DSA traffic unchanged is not a clean test of replacing all dynamic search activity.

  • Ask Advisor can propose campaign changes for your approval

Google’s documentation describes an eligible-account beta that can propose actions including campaign pauses, budget and location changes, and appeals. The advertiser approves the action; it is not an unrestricted autonomous account manager. Review the proposed change and the business constraint behind it before confirming. Manager accounts are outside the documented scope, and the page does not establish a new launch date.

  • Business Profile suggestions can have a four-day review window

Google documents a four-day review period for certain notified suggestions. That timing does not apply to every profile edit, and it is not a promise of advance notice for every change. Assign responsibility for monitoring notifications where location details affect store visits, calls and ad destinations.

  • Copilot audience generation remains a scoped beta

Microsoft’s help describes a closed beta for eligible Audience campaigns in the US, Canada, UK and Australia. It does not apply to Search or Performance Max, excludes LinkedIn audiences, and generated audiences cannot be shared across accounts. Delivery may take up to 72 hours. Confirm access and review the audience before using it; the page does not establish when the geographic scope expanded.

  • CSS product pages have rating and review-count attributes

Google’s specification documents rating and review-count attributes for Comparison Shopping Service product pages. Check the CSS-specific scope before adding them to a feed workflow. Their presence in documentation does not establish a new release date or a ranking benefit; this is a specialist implementation reference.

  • Customer Match adds IP and interaction-time fields, with restrictions

Google’s documentation supports IP addresses and interaction timestamps in Customer Match uploads. A timestamp cannot be provided without an IP address, and IP matching is not supported for end users in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland. Not every listed column is mandatory. Use the current upload template rather than copying a header from secondary coverage, because the documentation’s timestamp naming is inconsistent.

  • Demand Gen on the Display Network: understand CPM billing

Google’s current FAQ confirms that Demand Gen uses CPM billing on the Google Display Network. Keep the billing basis separate from the campaign’s bidding objective when reconciling spend and results. The documentation supports the current rule but does not indicate when it changed, so this belongs in useful references rather than as a claimed new launch.

  • Demand Gen’s cost-adjustment beta targets the learning period

Google documents a cost-adjustment beta for eligible Demand Gen campaigns using target CPA or target ROAS. Eligibility and the adjustment calculation matter: this is not a blanket refund for campaigns that miss a target. Before budgeting for it, confirm whether your campaign qualifies and how the adjustment appears on your bill. Keep learning-period protection separate from the longer-term commercial case for the campaign.

  • Investment recommendations: distinguish reallocation from extra spend

Google Ads coverage describes Holistic recommendations that may reallocate or add budget, and Growth recommendations that add budget. Read the proposed changes at campaign level before accepting them. A projected improvement is a forecast, not a guaranteed result, and a plan that increases conversions may still conflict with margin or cash-flow targets. This is a planning reference; its original launch date is unresolved.

  • LinkedIn’s Post Proofreader can support a final writing pass

LinkedIn documents Post Proofreader for eligible Premium Career and Premium Business subscribers, with English-language support. It suggests edits to a draft post; the author reviews and accepts them. Use it after checking the argument and factual claims, and keep the original meaning and voice. This is an implementation reference, not a newly dated launch.

  • Merchant Centre’s impressum guidance has a country-specific scope

Google’s platform guidance distinguishes between hosted impressum availability in Germany and Austria and in Switzerland. Check the requirement relevant to the merchant and destination. A platform documentation change should not be interpreted as removing a business’s legal obligations; this is a narrow operational reference, not general legal advice.

  • Message assets connect Search and PMax with messaging apps

Google documents message assets for Search and Performance Max, including WhatsApp and other supported messaging destinations. After an asset is approved, a message-lead conversion goal becomes available; that does not mean it automatically becomes the account’s default optimisation goal. Review the destination, response ownership and conversion settings before using messages as a lead-generation route.

  • Microsoft experiments cover Search, Shopping, Audience and PMax

Microsoft’s current help confirms optimisation experiments for four campaign types. Shared and lifetime budgets, and campaigns with DSA enabled, are ineligible. Its guidance recommends four to eight weeks in total, separating stabilisation from measurement. Choose a commercially meaningful hypothesis and respect conversion delay. The documentation verifies current availability, not the first launch date.

  • Microsoft MaxCpc API reference and January 2027 deadline

Microsoft’s BiddingScheme API reference documents a 12 January 2027 change to MaxCpc for affected new campaigns and existing campaigns not already using it. Inventory the strategies and API fields your integration uses before planning a migration. The API reference should not be used as evidence of a separate rollout of portfolio bid-strategy controls.

  • Search Console separates text-based and multimodal queries

Google’s documentation distinguishes text-based web queries from multimodal image queries. This gives search teams another way to examine how people discover a site. It remains organic search reporting, not paid campaign attribution. Use it alongside landing-page and commercial outcomes without treating a query-type change as evidence that advertising caused the traffic.

  • Separate Search and Shopping in Microsoft’s Competition view

Microsoft documents a Search/Shopping filter at account level and within Performance Max. Use it to avoid drawing one competitive conclusion from two different inventory contexts. The filter is a reporting distinction, not proof that a competitor caused a change in performance. Current functionality is verified; its first release date remains unresolved.

  • Shopify’s Google checkout changes where measurement happens

Shopify documents direct Google checkout for eligible US stores selling to US customers, with rollout and product restrictions. For eligible stores, the setting can be enabled by default. Google Analytics and custom client-side pixels do not fire inside that checkout, so reconcile order reporting before comparing its conversion rate with website traffic. Check your store’s eligibility, checkout settings and measurement path together; Agentic plan defaults are a separate case.

  • Smart Bidding learning: use conversion cycles, not a fixed rule

Google’s current guidance says learning typically takes one to two conversion cycles. It does not support the circulated claim of a universal 50-conversion, three-cycle requirement. Conversion delay and campaign mix matter, and Performance Max can take longer when much of its traffic comes from outside Search or Shopping. Use this as a diagnostic reference rather than treating the documentation itself as new functionality.
